A uh - friend of mine, Hook, knew Tinker Bell from his time on the island. He helped us find her, and she helped us locate Pan's camp. She didn't trust or like any of us at first, but... all Tinker Bell ever wanted was a home. We promised to bring her back to Storybrooke with us so that she could have that.
She told me a bit, not enough that I understood what sort of man he was.

But it was unlikely that he would ever fully understand. The magic of her world was off putting. He barely understood the sort that existed once in Westeros. He would never feel comfortable with the subject, no matter where it was located.]
